A s I preview this edition of our 2023 catalogue, it gives me pause for reflection on the momentous events we have witnessed in 2022 and the impact they have having on our industry. While none of us can ignore the tough trading conditions we all face, and double-digit inflation threatening to make them even more challenging next year, we at Pentair are resolved to support you through the best of times and worst of times. We do this best through our chosen location, here in Europe. Though a global company, Pentair has long believed that maintaining a strong European presence for its European customers brings so many benefits for us both. By designing, testing and manufacturing in Europe, for Europe, we can guarantee higher quality, better security of supply, and ultimately provide maximum value to you and your customers. Our local teams better understand, and can be more reactive to, the specific needs of your local markets. And our products can meet and often exceed the stringent requirements of our European regulators. It’s a win-win in so many ways. And, despite the economic forecast, it continues to steer our direction of travel. Pentair continues to invest with expansion in Europe. At the start of 2023, the entire global production of our market-leading Autotrol valves and controllers will move to our Manufacturing Centre of Excellence in Italy. And, for the first time, our Belgian Centre of Excellence will commence production of WellMate composite tanks for local and international markets. Further recent investments impact our other flagship brands too. In our drive for 100% reliability, new air-testing technology in our Pisa plant has virtually eliminated valve failures in the field. Our rolling regulatory compliance programme never stops, with hundreds of our products meeting dozens of certifications every year – not with least the ever evolving Drinking Water Directive (DWD) in 2022. To help your business provide differentiation and competitive advantage, we introduced colour and form customisation options for our best-selling Fleck valve ranges earlier in the year.
